During this past spring I made a blog post called “Summer Bucket List” and at the end of that post I said I would come back at the end of the summer with a recap of what I completed. Well I’m back and ready to fill you in!
Unfortunately, the time has come, summer is almost over which means time has run out to complete anymore bucket list items : ( luckily though I got a good amount done on the list which means I could make my blog post filling you guys in on what I’ve spent my summer doing! Soooo without further a do here is what I checked off my summer bucket list…
#1 𝔀𝓪𝓽𝓬𝓱 𝓪 𝓼𝓾𝓷𝓻𝓲𝓼𝓮 & 𝓼𝓾𝓷𝓼𝓮𝓽
This was #1 on my list and the 1st item I completed! It was the first night of the summer and the prettiest sunset occurred. The sky was a beautiful hot pink & lavender color. I saw many sunsets throughout the summer, but nothing could top this first summer sunset for me!! Unfortunately, I didn’t see any sun rises this summer, I never woke up early enough to witness one… oops

This was my favorite bucket list item by far because I loveeee the beach. My fam went for 4 days and it was so much fun. Since I’m a blonde and I don’t get tan too easily, the beach is when I’m my best self! My skin is finally tan & my hair is at its blondest. Plus I just love swimming in the ocean and in the pool. You can always find me in the water when I’m @ the beach. I love coming off the beach and having a frozen drink before heading out for a seafood dinner. Also, the shops at the beach are fun to browse through.. I got 2 really cute surf shop t-shirts. I cannot wait to return to the beach again next year!!

Ahhh the bike ride, if you haven’t read my blog post “Mural photoshoot ends in ER” then you wouldn’t know that I rode a bike into a metal fence and got a black eye & and a whole lot of stitches. This was quite the story for my 2019 summer. I never thought I would have this story to tell when people ask at school “what did you do this summer?. All I know is that in the future if you see me on a bike I’ll always be wearing a helmet. Lesson Learned.
Summer 2019 was filled with tons of photoshoots! I loved all the pictures I got with my friends. Those days took me to fun locations like playgrounds, the beach, cafes, mural walls, and much more. It is so fun taking pictures with friends & I can’t wait to do more photoshoots this Fall!! If you are interested and would want to do a shoot, I’m so down.

I learned about the law of attraction on youtube & saw people making grateful journals. I knew I wanted to make one, so I could always stay appreciative of the things I have in life. The journal just allows you to have the perspective of even if everything isn’t going your way, you still have so much to be thankful for.

2 nights ago I went to the Florida Georgia Line & Dan + Shay concert! Even though I’m not the biggest country fan this was one of my favorite concerts I have ever been to. I had so much fun hanging out with my friends and dancing the night away. In the beginning of the school year Zac Brown Band and The Jonas Brothers are coming to the stadium near me, so my concert pics are hopefully not done yet for the summer! : )
This was my first summer being able to drive! I spent my days driving to get pink drinks at Starbucks, going to the gym~ occasionally~, and driving to work. It was super fun getting to drive around, and it definitely made this summer one to remember. I’ll admit I am still getting used to parking. My family says I am a work in progress lolz

This summer I really got into making new breakfast foods. I will say though once I started making wheat bread with honey almond butter and bananas it became my breakfast staple. To go along with that I usually would have my iced Keurig coffee I put in the fridge overnight with some almond milk and a sweet & low. I’m always excited every morning to enjoy my fav meal. I did attempt once to make a smoothie bowl, but it spilled all over the cabinets in my kitchen so I haven’t attempted that one again since ( I did get an artsy- VSCO video before though)

The movie I went to on a rainy day was Toy Story 4! Surprisingly, I cried about 3 times @ the movie, I won’t tell ya why because I don’t want to spoil it but just because I grew up watching those movies it made me nostalgic to my childhood so I do recommend you go see the movie because it was super good.

My mom saw a picture of someone holding a sunflower over their face while we were at a shopping mall. This idea made us laugh because it was when I had my black eye, so we thought it would be the perfect photo shoot for me while I was bummed about my eye. We were passing a sunflower field on the way home which meant we had to stop and take some spontaneous photos. It was super fun and my mom and I had a great time covering my black eye with sunflowers lol.
#11 𝓿𝓲𝓼𝓲𝓽 𝓪 𝓬𝓸𝓵𝓵𝓮𝓰𝓮 My brother is going into his senior year which means it’s time to make college decisions. This summer we toured two colleges, Temple University and Penn State. They both were really cool experiences and were interesting to hear from the colleges about what they have to offer. I cannot believe that my brother is already a senior & that I’m already entering my junior year! Time really flies by…

In June I went to a leadership summit in NYC!! This was definitely one of my favorite parts from the summer, but I’m not gonna go into to much detail from it. If you wanna hear about how my trip went then check out my blog post titled “Makers of Good Summit”
I started off the summer with good intentions of going to the gym every morning! The thing is that only lasted for about one day… oops. I did go to the gym a fair amount, but not nearly as much as I thought I was going to! I guess I will have to reset my gym goals going forward

Lifeguarding was not the job I originally was going to have during this summer. I was thinking about being a host at a restaurant. But that’s not what ended up happening though because I ended up lifeguarding at a local hotel. My summer job was cut short when I had my bike accident since I couldn’t go into the sun with my stitches or else they could scar more : ( Overall, I really enjoyed having a lifeguarding experience and I’m happy to report that I didn’t have to save anyone this summer!!!
So that pretty much wraps up my summer bucket list review!! There were a couple more things I checked off like mini golf, volunteering, getting tan, and blogging that I did as well but I just don’t have any photos from those, plus there isn’t a lot to write about for them. I hope you all had a great summer, but the reality is it’s time to go back to school and Summer 2019 has almost come to an end.
It’s okay though because now we can start a count down til next summer… only 9 more months to go!!
